Well done

You now know how to claim, connect, and maintain a researcher identity that makes your work findable and correctly credited.

Your identity checklist

  • ☐ Register an ORCID iD and add your key works;
  • ☐ Connect your Scopus Author ID and Web of Science Researcher Profile to ORCID;
  • ☐ Set up a Google Scholar profile;
  • ☐ Turn on auto-updates so new outputs flow in;
  • ☐ Diarise a yearly profile review.

Where to go next

  • Understanding Research Metrics — make sense of h-index, journal metrics, and altmetrics (responsibly). (Coming next in this track.)
  • Citation & Referencing and Accessing Open Access Journals — on the FRELIP learning platform.
  • Find sources with FRELIP Discovery Search.

Keep it alive

An identity is not set-and-forget. Spend ten minutes a year keeping your ORCID and profiles current — it pays back every time someone looks you up.
