Choose by your goal

• “I’m a new postgraduate / just starting research.” → Begin with Building Your Researcher Identity, then work through the courses in order.
• “I’m about to publish my first paper.” → Take Researcher Identity (set up ORCID), then Enhancing & Promoting Your Research.
• “I need to understand or report metrics (h-index, impact factor).” → Go straight to Understanding Research Metrics, then Citation Databases.
• “I run literature searches and choose databases.” → Start with Citation Databases & Bibliometric Tools.
• “I care about open access and fairer evaluation.” → Head to Open Science & Responsible Research Assessment (do Researcher Identity first if you can).
• “I’m a librarian supporting researchers.” → Take all five, in order — you will be able to advise on every step.
